Asked Questions

A curated list of common inquiries and concise answers regarding our legal services.

Do you handle cases outside of North Carolina?

At this time, we only handle cases within North Carolina. Our attorneys are licensed to practice law exclusively in North Carolina.

What counties do you handle inside of NC?

We primarily serve clients in Wake, Johnston, Orange, Harnett, Lee, Cumberland, Hoke, Mecklenburg, Granville, and Durham counties. For certain cases, we may be able to travel outside these areas. If your case is not located in one of the counties listed above, we encourage you to contact us to discuss your situation and determine whether we can assist you.

3

What should I bring to my consultation?

The materials you bring will depend on the type of consultation you are scheduling. In general, you should bring any documents that are relevant to your legal matter and that you would like the attorney to review. If you do not have documents available, that is perfectly okay. We can still discuss your situation, answer your questions, and help you prepare for next steps.

4

 Do you offer virtual consultations?

Yes. We offer virtual, phone, and in-person consultations by appointment. We also provide limited after-hours appointments and limited weekend availability to better accommodate our clients’ schedule.

5

What types of cases do you not handle?

Our practice focuses on family law, estate planning, civil litigation, and criminal defense matters. While we may not be able to represent you in every type of case, we are always happy to discuss your situation. If your legal matter falls outside our practice areas, we will do our best to refer you to a trusted attorney or resource who may be able to assist you.

6

How long does litigation typically take?

The length of litigation varies depending on the complexity of your case and the court’s schedule. While timelines can differ, our firm will work closely with you and keep you informed throughout every stage of the process.

7

 Will I be heard?

Absolutely. We are committed to listening to your story, understanding your goals, and providing thoughtful, personalized legal guidance. Our team approaches every case with empathy and dedication, and we will advocate for you every step of the way.
